How do I configure the workspace?

NOTE: You need administrative privileges to access the workspace settings menu.

To configure file system paths, field mappings, date and time, and language for your current workspace, navigate to  Configuration Setup under the cog setting in the top right bar.

How do I set up and run document analysis?

Running algorithms over documents is the core of what LHA does, making this feature the place to begin when first learning to use LHA. Detailed descriptions for each step are described in the Create New Set article.

How do I fix my project's email metadata?

Sometimes, a project may have bad email metadata or no email metadata at all. For example, emails may be scanned or imaged, and when they are produced, they have zero metadata for From, To, CC, BCC, Sent Date, or Subject. Or the processing may be poor quality, and end-users notice that all the Sent Dates values are "01/01/1700", or the From values are garbled text like "J@E7* <<j$%^^>>".

LHA can help "remediate" the issue using the Metadata Remediation algorithm, which gives you the ability to obtain reliable metadata in these circumstances.

Use the Metadata Remediation algorithm to either generate a new field or overwrite a field for documents with missing or incomplete metadata. The Metadata Remediation algorithm can add or overwrite up to six new fields:

  • Remediated Email Bcc
  • Remediated Email Cc
  • Remediated Email From
  • Remediated Email Subject
  • Remediated Email To
  • Remediated SentDate

NOTE: You can skip any field; new fields will be created if they don't already exist.

How do I move job higher in the processing queue?

NOTE: You need to have permission to access the MA Administration application (managed by Relativity permissions).

To reorder a set in the processing queue:

  1. Navigate to the MA Administration application.
  2. From the list of vertical tabs, select the menu item, Job Activity
  3. Find the column Order with the markers to drag the job to a different position into the list
  4. Grab and re-position your set to move it up if there is more than one set running.

How do I run an incremental build?

After you have run an analytics set, you can overlay results into Relativity manually or automatically:

Manually

Use these steps to manually overlay results. On  the Analytics Set Listing page:

  1. Expand algorithm groups by clicking the arrow
  2. Expand the algorithms by clicking the arrow
  3. Click "Pending."

Automatically

On the Create New Set page, toggle Automatically Overlay Results. When the set completes, the overlay step will be automatically added to the queue. Users should choose to auto-overlay only when they already have confirmation/permission from a client to use the results. This can save time for cases when a job finishes after hours.

How do I get to the group of documents for results?

Each hyperlink number in an analytics set report is the number of hits, non-hits, pivots, etc.

Click on any hyperlink (blue) number to take you to the list of documents for that result type. When you click a number (in the example below, 40,137 email documents) you are taken to the Documents tab in Relativity for this group of email documents.

Click on Emails to See the Document List

How do I change the set name or email notifications for a set?

On the  Analytics Set Listing page, click a set's ellipsis menu and select Edit Properties to add or change the Set Name and the recipient notifications. When you click Update, you return to the list page.

How do I add People Profile fields to documents?

Any field present on a People Profile, as output from the Name Normalization algorithm, can be added to a Relativity document object by opening the field up to associations. Once a field is open to associations, your field is available for all generated normalized name fields as an associative field. For example, "MA Normalized From::Function Name" can be placed on layouts, search results, etc.

Use these steps to add fields from the MA People object to the document object:

  1. Log in to Relativity and select a workspace that has had Name Normalization run over a set of documents.
  2. Navigate to the Fields tab.
  3. Change the view to All Fields.

    All Fields View

  4. Filter Object Type for MA People.

6. Click Edit for the field you wish to display on the document object.

7. On the Field Information page, set  Open to Associations to Yes.

8. Click  Save. This field can now be added to a Relativity document object
