Edit Organizations
IN THIS ARTICLE:
To edit an organization's profile, click an ORGANIZATION NAME on the Organization List page to navigate to the organization's profile page. Click the ACTIONS menu, then Edit Selected Organizations (N) or Edit All Organizations (N). The Bulk Update: Edit Organizations page displays. Here you can update the KEY ORGANIZATION, ORGANIZATION TYPE, etc. Once you select Edit Selected Organizations(N) or Edit All Organizations (N), the fields and toggles become modifiable.
NOTE: Domain information cannot be updated, even in edit mode.
WHO CAN PERFORM:
The Edit entity profiles permission allows access to the Edit Selected Profiles and Edit All Profiles menu options on the ACTIONS menu on the People List and Organization List pages. When disabled, it hides all edit options on the ACTIONS menus.
Edit Organization page
The following fields and information can be updated in edit mode:
| ORGANIZATION NAME |
The name of this organization. |
| KEY ORGANIZATION |
Toggle "On" if this is a key organization that then displays the star icon. |
| PHONE NUMBER |
The primary phone number for this organization. |
| ORGANIZATION TYPE |
The Organization Type helps describe an organization and is similar to the People Profile functions. |
| COUNTRY |
The primary country of origin or the location of headquarters to associate with the organization |
| ADDRESS |
A representative address for this organization |
| CITY |
The city that corresponds to the identified address for the organization |
| STATE |
The state that corresponds to the identified address for the organization |
| ZIP CODE |
The zip code that corresponds to the identified address for the organization |
| ADD A RELATED ORGANIZATION |
Separate organization profiles that are related to this organization. Click on the organization name link to navigate to the profile in a new tab. Select from the list to add a related organization, or press the red x below to delete a related organization. Adding or removing a related organization updates the profile information for both organizations. For example, in the Org 1 profile, add Org 2 as a Related Organization. In the Org 2 profile, Org 1 is automatically added as a Related Organization. |
