LHA Permissions

The cog icon is used to navigate to a workspace's Admin Settings > Permissions page. If you have Admin privileges for this workspace, you can grant access to LHA features and administrative rights for the current workspace. Available groups listed under Relativity Groups are populated from the list of groups with access to the workspace. The Relativity group, System Administrators, are, by default, granted all permissions, including the MA Global Admin Access permission. System administrators' permissions are greyed out, meaning they cannot be changed. They are the only Relativity group able to view this permission; it is hidden for all other Relativity groups.

The Matter Analytics tab permission (granted in Relativity) is required to access LHA. Non-admin users can still view LHA sets and settings without any granted LHA-controlled permissions.

GROUPS:

GROUPS lists the Relativity groups assigned to the current workspace that can be granted LHA permissions. Click on a Relativity group, then assign permissions.

  • If a group is not granted permission, they have a read-only view of the set list.
  • Relativity System Administrators have all permissions.
  • The Workspace Administration Group has all permissions within the workspace.

PERMISSIONS

Lists the permissions that can be granted to a Relativity group or groups. Users do not see elements for which they do not have permission. All users can view existing Sets.

Set Administration

  • Create and manage sets: Can create and edit analytics sets. When disabled, it hides the Create Set, Full Build, Incremental Build, and Edit Set buttons.
  • Overlay results: Can overlay results into Relativity. When disabled, it disables the auto-overlay toggle and the manual overlay buttons.

Entity Profiles

  • View entity profiles: Required permission to view Entity Profiles under the Entity Profile tab. When disabled, it disables the Entity Profiles tab and the ability to click into people or organization details. Color coding by function remains viewable within reports and LHA Viewers.
  • Manage Top-Level Hits Filter: Controls the editability of the Top-Level Hits Filter checkbox in Advanced Settings. When this permission is disabled, the Top-Level Hits Filter checkbox is still visible but cannot be edited by the user.
  • Create entity profiles: Controls access to the New Person Profile menu item under the Action button on the People List page, allowing the addition of new profiles for this workspace.
  • Bulk Add Profiles: Users can bulk add profiles only when this permission is granted. The Bulk Add Profiles button will be hidden when revoked.
  • Single Edit Entity Profiles: Allows access to the Edit button on the Edit Profile page. When users navigate to a specific person or organization and want to edit that profile, this permission controls their ability to access the editing functionality on that page.
  • In-Line Edit Entity Profiles: Allows users to edit multiple profiles simultaneously via the Edit button on the People Profiles Reviewer/Verification view page. When this permission is revoked, the Edit button for in-line editing is hidden.
  • Bulk Edit Entity Profiles: Provides access to bulk updating of profiles on the People and Organizations List pages. When disabled, it hides the Bulk Update menu options.
  • Split/Merge Entity Profiles: Controls visibility of the Split/Merge functionality in the People Profiles view and the Merge action in the bulk actions dropdown. When this permission is revoked, both options are hidden.
  • Access Job Dashboard: Allows users to access the Job Dashboard to monitor the status of jobs such as profile merges, splits, and bulk adds. Without this permission, users will not be able to view the Job Dashboard.
  • Manage Job Dashboard: Grants users the ability to requeue jobs that encounter exceptions in the Job Dashboard. Without this permission, users can still view job exceptions but will need assistance from someone with the Manage Job Dashboard permission to resolve and requeue jobs.
  • Configure Display Name Preferences: Allows access to configure display name preferences within the Entity Profile tab. When disabled, it hides the Preferences button on the People List page.
  • Configure Custom Fields: Users with this permission can add and manage custom fields for the workspace. This permission allows customization of the field layouts, giving flexibility to the workspace configuration.
  • Configure Functions: Grants the ability to create and manage functions within the workspace. This ensures the workspace functions are appropriately configured for entity profiles.
  • Configure Organization Types: Provides users with the ability to configure organization types within the workspace, allowing for specific categorization and organization of entities.

Reporting

  • View set report: Allows viewing of LHA set reports and is a required permission for exporting reports.
  • Export entity report: Allows downloading the people or organization reports in Excel format.

Viewers

  • Show thread viewer: Enables access to the Thread Viewer option in the document drop-down menu.

Privilege Logs

  • Access Privilege Logs: Allows viewing of the Privilege Logs tab and associated logs.
  • Create and manage Privilege Logs: Allows creating new logs, updating, and editing logs, including revising finalized logs.

Data Management

  • View Indexing: Can view the Indexing configuration page and indexing management.
  • Create and Manage Indexes: Can add indexing to a workspace and manage indexing fields.

AI Studio

  • Access to AI Studio: Allows access to the AI Studio tab and control over creating, editing, and deleting skills.

MA Workspace Admin Access

Allows access to manage permissions and workspace configuration options. Relativity system admin users are always granted full permissions to LHA, and Relativity Workspace Admin groups are always granted LHA Workspace Admin Access permission. This permission can be delegated to other groups if needed.

Default Permissions for Relativity Groups at Lighthouse

At Lighthouse, we use specific Relativity groups to prefill permissions by default upon case creation. These groups include System Administrators, LH_Internal, and LH_CS. Below is an overview of how permissions are assigned by default for these groups.

  • System Administrators: This group is granted all permissions by default upon case creation.
  • LH_Internal: This group includes members from Product Management, Operations, Processing, and Hosting teams, and has access to all permissions.
  • LH_CS: This group includes Client Services team members and has access to most permissions, but excludes certain admin-level permissions.
