LHA Viewers

IN THIS ARTICLE:

NOTE: This release of Matter Analytics does not have a Classifier Viewer.

MA has two proprietary viewers: the Thread Viewer and the Classifier Viewer.  Several functions and interactions are available in both viewers:

  • Review hit highlighting from MA classifiers
  • Review, link, and unlink auto mentions for names and emails associated with people profiles
  • Review extracted ID mentions and link or unlink them to people profiles
  • Link and unlink manual mentions in the viewers
  • From the Relational Pane, view and select documents in MA Email Threading (ET), Near Duplicate (ND), or Text Duplicate (TD) sets.

Some functions and interactions are specific to one viewer.

Use the Thread Viewer for the following interactions:

  • Review all the emails in a single thread together in one view while eliminating all duplicate/redundant content. The Thread Viewer provides a unique summary and presentation of all the content in an email thread/conversation, reducing the overall email content to review by up to 70%.
  • See information about who is added and removed from the conversation with each reply and forward. Review the full thread in one continuous scroll while seeing who has been added or removed from the thread.
  • Click on people in the email headers to open their Profile Summary Cards and learn more about them.
  • Use the node hovers to view valuable information about an email, its attachments, and its duplicate spares.
  • Analyze the differences in a message segment caused by inline changes.
  • Add content and communication markers to enhance the review experience. Content markers can also be used to see hit highlighting from MA classifiers.
  • Bulk edit documents within a thread.

The Thread Viewer can only be used for emails and their attachments. It does not show any content or information for loose files. The Thread Viewer provides a variety of information about attachments and allows you to open an attachment in a new window. However, the Thread Viewer itself does not display the content of attachments. The Classifier Viewer does not provide box interactions for people in the email headers.

Use the Classifier Viewer for the following interactions:

  • Review the content of attachments and loose files with access to features on these documents like mentions and MA classifier highlighting.
  • Use the Hit Text view to isolate the areas of documents that have hit highlighting from MA classifiers, including hits in the metadata.
  • Review documents one at a time, rather than viewing all emails in a single thread together at the same time.

WHO CAN PERFORM:

Email Threading and/or PII classifier algorithms must be run over the document, and results must be overlaid for these viewer options to be visible. When both viewers are disabled or unavailable, the select viewer drop-down is hidden.

Show thread viewer—the  Thread Viewer option appears in the document drop-down menu granting access to the Thread Viewer.

Show classifier viewer—the  Classifier Viewer option appears in the document drop-down menu granting access to the  Classifier Viewer. When disabled, the classifier viewer option in document view is hidden, and all highlighting in other viewers associated with classifiers is hidden.

See the Permissions article for complete details.

ET, ND, TD icons in the Relational Pane

When you arrive in either the Thread Viewer or the Classifier Viewer the relational pane to the right of the thread viewer lets you display a detailed view of a document in the viewer by clicking Email Threading (ET), Near Duplicate (ND), or Text Duplicate (TD) relationship sets represented by an icon at the bottom. Hover over the icon to identify the set ID. When you click on a relational icon, the view that is displayed above shows the related documents (i.e. documents in the same thread group) along with fields and sorting to make it easier to consume these results.

Editing the Relational View

To edit the relational view for ET, ND, or TD, first unlock the application if it is not already unlocked by going to the Relativity Applications tab, and clicking on MA Analytics then click Unlock Application. Once the application is unlocked, you can edit the views by going to the Views tab and search for MA Relational views. You can edit these views to display any results fields or other fields you choose. Additionally, you can edit the MA Threading view the same way. This view allows you to show lists of documents grouped by thread group, conveniently sorted.
